quirky hotel stay

i received a complimentary upgrade to a better room. the staff provided excellent service. they were really helpful with all my requests. breakfast included many options alongside the continental spread.

the event on saturday created disturbance due to loud music. the excessively loud music played until 0100am. it disturbed our sleep greatly. i felt it wasn't a relaxing five star experience.

the room had a mini bar.

I emailed twice with no response and called the restaurant several times before getting through. the room was cold. Reception reset the heating, but it did not improve matters. eventually, they brought a heater.

The central location was ideal for exploring. The room offered all necessary amenities. I found the minibar selection excellent and the fur throw added a luxurious touch to the bed.

During checkout, I noticed an unexpected charge of £7 labeled as a staff charge. The small reception area was busy, so I did not address it then. I think transparency in fees would improve guest experience.
